Sheila

Sheila is a versatile vocalist with decades of professional experience across a variety of genres including soul, rock, jazz, Funk and R&B. She has performed with eight Chicagoland corporate bands including 15 years touring with Chicago’s popular Blooze Brothers. She has highlighted her incredible vocal range and dynamic abilities while covering iconic artists such as Aretha Franklin, Sarah Vaughan, Whitney Houston, Billie Holiday, and Alicia Keys. Her performances are always captivating and delivered with warmth and charisma. In addition to her musical prowess, Sheila holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in physical therapy.

Bob

Bob is a lifelong professional musician, composer, and arranger. A multi-instrumentalist, he plays bass, trombone, keyboards, and percussion, and he sings backup and scat. He enjoys a wide array of musical genres including jazz, soul, pop, bluegrass, rock, and country. Bob played trombone in the renowned University of Illinois Jazz Band and was honored as Best Soloist at the Governors State University Jazz Festival. He has performed with many musical greats including Elvis Presley, Glen Campbell, Mel Tormé, Cab Calloway, Sonny & Cher, the Dallas Jazz Orchestra, Anita O’Day, Si Zentner, Pat Boone, The Temptations, and the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Bob can be heard on albums by the Maxwell Street Klezmer Band and the industrial rock band, KMFDM.

Julian

Julian plays keyboards and provides backup vocals for CVV. He brings tremendous versatility and range built on decades of performance with Chicagoland corporate bands, small singing ensembles, and groups of friends in singalongs. His wide-ranging musical interests span the whole classical-jazz-R&B-pop spectrum, and he is thrilled to play with such talented musicians as Sheila, Bob, and Jordan in CVV. Julian’s day job has been as a lung physician and professor of medicine; he holds electrical engineering (MIT) and medical (Harvard) degrees.

Jordan Rivers, a.k.a. “The Real Juice”, is a soulful singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and recording artist. He is best known as lead vocalist for Capitol Records recording artist Da’ Krash and the hit single “Wasn’t I Good to Ya”, which he performed on Soul Train as it charted on the Billboard Top 10 in 1988. Born and raised on the West Side of Chicago, Jordan categorizes his music as soulful rhythm and blues with deep roots in gospel.  His album, Better Man, is available on Apple Music and other marts. Jordan is delighted to join Sheila, Bob, and Julian in Chicago Vintage Vibe, where his delicious vocals and gorgeous duets with Sheila are sure to thrill.

Guest Artist

Alex

Alex, guitar and vocals, has performed worldwide, having toured the US, Caribbean, South America, and Asia. A gifted jazz soloist, he has played with the Navy Band, The Greg Brady Experience, and the Hey Jimmy Band, and can be heard as studio artist on recordings by Larry Wimmer and Clara May. His musical influences include Barry Harris, Bill Frisell, Pat Martino, Ted Greene, T Bone Walker, Phil Keaggy, Pat Metheny, Larry Carlton, Lonnie Mack, BB King, Mark Knopfler, Chet Atkins, and Andres Segovia. Alex graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Music degree.
